Description
BID WITH CONFIDENCE! AUTHENTICATION BY JAMES SPENCE AUTHENTICATION               1927 PHILADELPHIA A'S TEAM SIGNED BALL Up for auction is a remarkably clean 1927 Philadelphia Athletics team autographed Official American League (Ban Johnson) baseball...easily one of the nicest 1920s team signed balls ever offered at auction. The signature of HOFer Zack Wheat precisely dates this as a 1927 Philadelphia Athletics team ball. There are 21 lovely BOLD period fountain pen signatures including Ty Cobb from his penultimate season (he was forced by Judge Landis to leave the Tigers over a gambling scandal), Eddie Collins, a super early Lefty Grove, Connie Mack, Rube Walberg, Mickey Cochrane, Ehmke, Dykes, Bishop and Boley. To find any 1920s team ball in this condition is truely amazing, but one with five major HOFers is really special!  Ironclad  authenticity performed by JAMES SPENCE AUTHENTICATION (JSA) Includes a JSA LETTER OF AUTHENTICITY (scroll down to see picture of actual LOA)     Click here to add us to your FAVORITE SELLER list High bidder pays shipping, handling, and insurance.
