It is marked on its underside NJ EP either side of a flower trade mark. It dates to c1900-1910. It has been imaginatively designed having seven divisions made up of crossed cricket bats with the central division having a ball and loop handle. Each bat has been nicely detailed and the whole piece supported on four ball feet. It is super condition being free from dings splits and repairs. The silver plate is the original and free from significant wear - only very slight thinning to the front of the first bat (see second photo). It is as mentioned much larger than most measuring over 6.25 inches (16.3cms) long by 6.5 inches (16.5cms) tall by 3.5 inches (9cms) wide. It is very well made reflected by its weight of 585 grams.
