One of 33' Description Very rare Kareem Abdul-Jabbar signed figurine.  Limited worldwide to 33 pieces and personally signed by Kareem, with certificate of authenticity.  Figure is titled "The Captain" and is part of the "Sky Hook Collection" honoring Kareem's final season in the NBA.  This was donated at a silent auction by Peg and Bob Gartlan (Gartlan USA).  When I won this piece, I became confused because on the bottom of the base is a plague that reads one of 1,989.  I thought I was misled.  I went and visited with Mr. Gartlan himself and he explained that this model figurine did number 1,989 but only 33 of them were painted with the Lakers purple uniform.  And this is one of them!!  Check out the pictures and notice the minature and removable goggles.  Very cool!  Also included are two pictures given to me by Mr. Gartlan - one of (I believe) the artist and one of Kareem holding a commemorative plate at the time of the signing.  According to the Gartlan USA Retail Price List, dated June 1, 2004, (which I will include) this piece's market price is $4,800.00.  Will accept money orders, or checks.  All checks must clear before I will ship this product.  Shipping will be free.  I will probably ship via insured FedEx.  I will require a signature for delivery.  If you are in the South Jersey area, I'll be happy to deliver to you (within reasonable distance).  I am not a collector - just happened to luck into this one and am willing to sell below suggested price.
