Description
“Hi, I’m Paul and THESE ARE MY BALLS.” That’s what it really says on top of the box. Baseballs that is. . . . Continue reading and I confess, “now some call me mad. Some call me crazy. Some call me a genius. I like to say I have little or no editing process between my brain and my creations.” The idea for these “collectiballs” started out as a dream, baseballs autographed by the most unlikely and impossible people…. each 100% phoney, but guaranteed to amaze your friends and fool your guests. The only real claim I promise about them is that they will put a smile on the face of the planet. “And if you don’t like the other side of the cards, send me back the unused portion of your sense of humor and I’ll send you back the unused portion of your money. . . .”Once this idea hit me, I went crazy with it. First merely displaying a baseball in a container signed by someone who never ever would have signed a baseball. In a number of the historical versions, baseball wasn’t even around in their days. (Adam and Eve, Jesus, Noah, Charles Dickens, etc.) Then I added a simple plaque to the base to give the concept a little more credibility. After that, I started to think of funny baseball phrases to add to the plaques that had a certain relevance to the signer. “Adam & Eve – “In The Big-Inning.” Or Judy Garland – “There’s No Plate Like Home.” Bill Clinton – “One out, man in scoring position.” The concept seemed limitless to me.Not satisfied with just that, my love for Photoshop started me designing baseball cards to go on the bases. Taking people’s heads and placing them on baseball player’s bodies. They were hysterical. And finally, once I had good looking cards on the front, I decided to fill up the back of the cards with funny stories and little known humorous facts, nicknames . . . ALL OF MY CREATION!! The idea just exploded and before I knew it, I was not only doing hystorical (yes, I said “hystorical”) figures. I started a line of contemporary figures. O.J. Simpson, Michael Jackson, Oprah, Hugh Hefner, etc. And that lead to a bunch of Paul’s Foul Balls for kids; Scooby Doo, Flipper, Godzilla, Barbie, Buffy the vampire slayer. I did different box art for each category. (see pictures below) Even the sticker on the box is not what it seems.... "As Seen ON TOP OF the tv." Powered by eBay Turbo ListerThe free listing tool.
