Ichiro ended up hitting 262 hits for the season but this is the game that made history!!! I am including an encased gold baseball that was released in the Seattle Mariners Team Shop moments after Ichiro broke the record that evening. This item was very limited as people scrambled to get their piece of history. This gold baseball was sold out within minutes!!!! I have never taken it out, it is still sealed. Rumor has it that less than a 100 of these baseballs were sold that night! So out of the 40,000+ fans that were at the game that night, I was lucky enough to grab one of the few baseballs.
